If we move back too much, then we have to move forward again, coming back on the downswing and that’s not really very consistent.

Let’s discuss the common mistakes many encounters when hitting the irons. Two of these are at sets up, one is through the golf swing and last one is right down at the impact, in terms of how we deliver the club to the ball.
1. Bad ball position
The ball position should be always in line with the logo of your shirt. But your stance width varies with the length of the irons you are hitting. This is to give more stability to your golf swing. Longer the club, wider our stance. For shorter irons, you have narrower stance, hence the ball will be more towards the center of the body. For longer irons, we have slightly wider stance, thus the ball will be slight forward of center.
